Best Beaches
in Manuel Antonio
Ok, so check in done, luggage in room… BEACH TIME!

Let’s start with a secluded & private option: Makanda Wild Beach.
Our virgin beach, considered one of the most important biological corridor of this area and that’s why we get visited by wild life basically every day. Our Golfcart drivers will be more than happy to give you a ride and set up a beach bed for you. During the low tide you will be able to spot ancient fish traps from the Quepoa Indians - beautiful blue lagoons you can chill without waves.
Playa Espadilla is a must.
It is a large public beach that’s located near the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. Is perfect place to spend a lazy day or do activity such as swimming, surfing, parasaling, soccer. Is beautiful sandy beach that stretches out for nearly a mile, so it’s also a great place for yoga or some beach walks
This beach is well known among tourists, so it can get busy at times and we recommend our guests to go to the Northern part - Playita. This small but relaxing beach is favorite for locals. Playita is only 10 minutes walking distance from Hotel Makanda

Looking for calm water and white sands?
There’s Biesanz Beach and the best thing is that it is very close to the Hotel Makanda - 15 min walking distance only, partially through the beautiful rain forest.
Small beach, very calm; is like a natural pool – no waves. Is public beach so also can be crowded, especially weekends.
