Makanda by the Sea is an adults-only boutique hotel set into a jungle hillside above the Pacific in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Complimentary golf carts carry you between your villa, the infinity pool, Shanti Spa and Árbol Restaurant. A secluded wild beach is accessible from the property; Manuel Antonio Beach is about a ten-minute walk.
For adult family or friends traveling together, the Luxury Villa (Four People) sleeps four in two separate bedrooms. All other categories are designed for two.
How many guests can stay?
Up to four: a king-size bed and a queen-size bed in separate rooms, sharing one marble bathroom. Makanda is adults only, 18 and over.
Does the villa have a pool?
No private pool. The hotel’s infinity pool and Ocean Club lounge are for all Makanda guests; for a private infinity pool for two, see the Luxury Villa Private Pool.
Is breakfast included?
With direct bookings, yes: the Full Breakfast over the Pacific each morning. Booked elsewhere, it is $45 per person, or order à la carte.
