As we are a small hotel, late cancellations and no-shows really affect our business, therefore our deposit and cancellation policy are as follows:
• Reservation must be paid in full 30 days before the arrival date. This is non-refundable deposit. Customer will receive a payment link (CompraClick) to safely process the full payment, using its preferred credit card. If CompraClick payment won’t be arranged by guest, Guest authorizes the Hotel to manually charge the credit card registered in case. • Guest agrees that regardless of billing or master account arrangements, is liable for all charges posted to the reservation, regardless bank or credit card brand rules/policies. • We will automatically cancel any reservation for which we do not receive notification of payment within 30 days before arrival date. • Should you cancel the reservation before the period of 30 days before arrival, no fees will be applied. • Should the reservation be cancelled in period less than 30 days before the arrival date to Hotel Makanda or in the case of a No Show, NO REFUND will be applied, reservation will be penalized 100% of its total amount. • Reservation can be modified once and only if arrival date is more than 30 days before arrival to Hotel Makanda, according to Guest request via email and is subjected to availability. Rates might increase depending to the dates/season and would be modified accordingly. • Thanks to all Medical Resources around the Globe everyone is now vaccinated, considering this fact; a Positive Covid Test is no longer accepted as an excuse for reschedule or cancel your reservation. • All rates are subject to 13% sales tax. • Rates are based on double occupancy. • I agree that my liability for the reservation is not waived and agree to be held personally liable in the event that the indicated person, company or association fails to pay for any paid or the full amount of these charges. Speakers are notallowed in the common areas. • The hotel is located on the slope and equipped with a footpath, so is important to use them or use our free electric cars service. Spontaneous jungle exploring (especially nighttime) are guest responsibility. • If you order room service or visit our restaurant, please inform the restaurantstaff about the presence of allergy. The hotel is not responsible for theaggravation of your allergy if necessary, info was not provided. • According to the law is prohibited to smoke in public places territory of Costa Rica. In the case of smoking in the room will be written off additionalcleaning fee to your credit card in the amount of $1,000.00. • While you are staying in hotel, your villa becomes your home, so you can invite your guests on the hotel grounds during the daytime, it is necessary toinform reception in advance. Your guests must leave the territory of thehotel in the same day, no later than 9:00 p.m. Responsibility for your guests(including but not limited to liability for payment of services, safety ofproperty, etc.) are mandatory your responsibility. I am further liable for all damages to the room(s) caused by myself or my guests/invitees during my stay and my signature on this card authorizes all persons in my room(s) to charge to my account. • The hotel is not responsible for the safety of unattended valuable things. There is a very spacious safe box in the room. • Security system of hotel public areas are video surveillance methods that donot record audio. • Should the Customer decide to leave the hotel before the check-out datestablished in the reservation, under ANY circumstances; full reservationMUST be paid 100%. There might be a refund for the non-used nightsONLY after Management and/or Ownership states and confirms it. • In case of a positive COVID Test results during your stay in hotel Makanda, Customeragrees to follow the protocols stablished by the Ministerio de Salud de Costa Rica: A. Quarantine in the Hotel, same room, same rate; paying for their extra expenses, 100% (room/food,etc). B. Quarantine in a Ministerio de Salud Shelter, in which case the Hotel would contact the Authorities to arrange the movement and transportation to a Shelter.
